We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

2. Description of Service

LexoSign provides online PDF tools including but not limited to:

  • PDF editing, merging, splitting, and compression
  • PDF conversion (to/from Word, Excel, images, etc.)
  • Electronic signature services
  • PDF security features (password protection, unlocking)
  • Chrome browser extension for quick PDF access

3. User Accounts

Account Creation

Some features require a free account. When creating an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in abusive behavior.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use LexoSign to:

  • Upload or process illegal content
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
  • Distribute malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Overload or disrupt our services (e.g., DoS attacks)
  • Use automated systems to excessively access the service
  • Resell or redistribute our services without permission
  • Process documents containing child exploitation material

Important: You are solely responsible for the content of files you upload. We do not review uploaded content but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

5. Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain all rights to the files you upload. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process your files solely to provide the requested service. This license ends when your files are deleted from our servers.

Our Content

The LexoSign name, logo, website design, and software are our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without permission.

6. Free and Paid Services

Free Tier

Free users have access to basic PDF tools with certain limitations. We reserve the right to modify free tier features at any time.

Pro Subscription

Paid subscriptions provide additional features and higher limits. Subscription terms:

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
  • Automatic renewal unless cancelled before the billing date
  • 30-day money-back guarantee — if you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first purchase, contact us for a full refund
  • After 30 days, no refunds for partial billing periods
  • Price changes will be communicated 30 days in advance

7. Electronic Signatures

LexoSign's electronic signature feature creates legally binding signatures compliant with:

  • ESIGN Act (United States)
  • eIDAS Regulation (European Union)
  • Similar laws in other jurisdictions

However, certain documents (wills, court orders, etc.) may require wet signatures by law. It is your responsibility to ensure electronic signatures are appropriate for your use case.

8. Privacy and Data

Your use of LexoSign is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Key points:

  • Uploaded files are automatically deleted within 30 minutes
  • We do not access, view, or share your files
  • All transfers are encrypted with TLS/SSL

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

LexoSign is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Results obtained will be accurate or reliable
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, LexoSign shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data or documents
  • Loss of profits or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold LexoSign harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Changes to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modifications.
